Christmas Celebrations at Kotwal’s School The children at school celebrated Christmas with great fervour. The speech on importance and significance of Christmas along with scripture reading mere highlights of the programme. Christmas Carols sing by high school children carried us to the divine and spiritual world. Tiny tots dancing to the tune “Light of the world” was a treat. The nativity play was enacted will. It depicted the birth of Jesus Christ. It is on this day the Christians all over the world celebrate Christmas. The festive mood wouldn’t be complete without the Santa Claus. The programme ended with the entry of Santa Claus to the tune of Jingle bells.
Kotwal's School, West Marredpally had its investiture ceremony on August 14th 2007. Ms. Purnima Rao the Ex-Indian Women's Cricket team captain was the chief guest for the occasion. The programme started with a patriotic fervour by the rendering of the song "E Mere watan ke logo" by the children. The march past by the four groups Akash, Prithvi, Agni and Vayu and the drill by primary school children with pompoms & tambourines was very well displayed. Prithvi and Akash bagged the 1st and 2nd prize in marchpast and Akash and prithvi bagged the 1st and 2nd prize in drill. The Head boy Jason Raj and Head girl Kalyani, captains Tarani, Zia, Sujitha and Dharamkar took the oath to discharge their duties with dedication.
